Each year, the professionals at J.D. Power rank automakers based on their showroom sales practices that lead to customer satisfaction. For the third time in four years, Buick dealerships topped the list and with GMC dealerships trailing by only 4 points. - Delivery process (21%)
- Negotiation and working out an agreement (18%)
- Paperwork completion (16%)
- Dealership facility (14%)
- Dealership website (4%)
Individuals that did not make a purchase were asked to rate dealerships based on the following criteria: salesperson, the fairness of price, experience negotiating, variety of inventory, dealership facility.
Shifting Models for Vehicle Purchases
It is interesting to note that "dealership website" only accounts for a very small percentage of overall satisfaction. This is likely due to the fact that few individuals are willing to rely solely on a website to provide the detailed information needed to make an informed automobile purchase.
